We've said that in prior podcasts. They're not used for rankings. Are you saying you have pages that have long tail keywords only used in the meta tags that get rankings? That's something I haven't seen in ages. Surely you've used them elsewhere on the page as well, and if so that's what caused the rankings, not the meta tags.
